SymVPN Symbian S60 is a PPTP VPN client application:
* Provides individual users with secure access to your organization or home network;
* Aimed for use with VPN servers that support the PPTP protocol (eg Windows 2008 Server, Windows 2003 Server, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux, Mac);
* Ensure the basic functionality of the VPN client (user authentication, channel data encryption, session management with the VPN server) based on the PPTP tunneling protocol.
SymVPN lets you create a regular point of access (from the standpoint of the Symbian operating system) that can ordinarily be used by any application that requires an adequate Internet connection.
For example:
* SymVPN created access point, along with SymSMB, ensure their access to server boot files on the Internet;
* Or you can use it with a Web browser (Opera-browser works well for this purpose) to enter your organization's Intranet;
* Or you can use with MailForExchange to enjoy a secure channel with the corporate Exchange server;
What's new:
* Removed some limitations related to the protocol (as 1400 MRU);
* Improved channel parameters for negotiation;
Error correction:
* Error -1 (not found) after a few weeks of successful use;
* Created VPN Access Point is not visible on some new phone SymVPN
