Jumping To a Verse

- Using the Goto menu, you can quickly go to a verse. This program will accept string in the following format:
John (goto John 1:1)
John 3 (Goto John 3)
John 3 16 (Goto John 3 16)
You can use shorter book name as long as it is already unique (such as Joh for John but not Jo, as it will be interpreted as Joshua)

- If there is only one chapter in the book, the number after the book name will be considered to be verse number (e.g. 3 John 12 will be considered as 3 John 1:12)
PS: the book name for Goto operation is dependent to the bible language you use (e.g. for Indonesian bible you would use Yohanes or Yoh instead of John or Joh)

Navigating The Bible

- Using the navigation menu, you can go to:

- a book (using Book List menu)

- Next/Previous Book, Chapter, Line, Verse, Page

- Beginning of book

-End of book

Bookmark

Select options >> Bookmark >> Add to bookmark to bookmark the current verse (top most verse that is being displayed).

Select options >> Bookmark >> Goto Bookmark to go to a verse that you have bookmarked. You can also use the bookmark menu to delete the bookmark.

Options

- There are two options that you can set on the setting menu. The first is to keep the backlight always on when you are reading the bible (if you switch to another application, the light will still be turned off).

- The second option is to have a full screen view on opening the bible.

Changes in Version 0.99.1
-------------------------
- Fixed Goto Verse Dialog

Changes in Version 0.98
-----------------------
Feature Improvement:
- Port to S60 3rd edition
- SVG icon in S60 3rd edition
- Zoom in S60 3rd edition
- You can now open bible commentaries (the verse limit has been increased from 2kb to 16 kb)
- Quickly select bible using the center/fire key
- You can use Chinese Big5 bible files if you have the required font
- It is now possible to display long book name. Some bible translation has a very long name for
the title (e.g: "The Apostles" is "Kisah Para Rasul" in Bahasa Indoneia), and might get truncated
if long book name is selected if the screen size is not wide enough.
- Lower memory usage
- Book title, chapter title, and description text are now displayed
Bug fix:
- Fixed memory leak in the bible engine
- Fixed Error in handling byte shifted PDB files
- Scroll up and down is now consistent.

Obtaining Bible Files
SymbianBible uses the same bible files that are used by Bible+, no modification is needed to use the bible files. The Bible+ homepage has a link to available bibles on the internet, you can have a look at their bible page.
You can also convert the bible from unboundbible to PDB format using the instruction for converting bible files that has been provided by Nelson Neves.

NOTE: not all PDB files are bible files, and some PDB bible files are not compatible with palmbibleplus or S60bible. Copy bible files to phone/memory card
- Non latin text (except for Greek and Hebrew) is not supported. You can have multiple bible files on your phone.

Important note: You can not send the bible file to the phone Inbox, because of the security limitation. In E50, a file received in the Inbox can not be saved to somewhere else (I don't know if other phone models support saving the file to some folder)
You have some option to copy the bible files:
- Use a card reader, and copy the bible files to any folder you like (except in the "sys" or "private" folder, to be save, just save it to a folder named Bible).
- If you have a data cable, you can use the "data transfer" function and copy the bible files to any folder you like
- If you have a PC Suite (any connection method: cable, infrared, or bluetooth), you can use the "Nokia Phone Browser" and put the bible files anywhere you like
- If you have infrared connection, use the built-in "file manager" application, and choose: "Receive Via Infrared", then send the file to the phone.
- If you have a bluetooth connection, you must use an application that can "browse" the phone and upload the file to the phone.
